Key Franchisee Acquires Parent Company of Sanford Rose Associates

AKRON, Ohio, May 3, 2005

Richard J. "Rich" Carter has acquired Akron-based SRA International, Inc., parent company of the worldwide Sanford Rose Associates executive search network. Rich Carter owns its San Francisco franchise.

The 46-year-old organization was sold by George Snider, who acquired it in 1992 from founder Sanford M. Rose. Carter succeeds Snider as President and CEO, while Snider becomes Chairman.

The SRA network consists of over 60 offices in the Americas, Asia and Europe that recruit executives, managers and professionals for client companies around the world. Rose pioneered the use of computer databases for recruiting and was elected last October to the National Association of Personnel Services Hall of Fame. In 2002, online publication Recruiter Magazine named Snider one of the "100 Most Influential People in Recruiting."

Rich Carter opened Sanford Rose Associates - San Francisco in 1999 to serve clients in the medical devices and diagnostics, biotechnology and pharmaceutical segments of the life sciences industry. Since then, it has three times captured the title of SRA "Office of the Year" as well as being recognized as one of the top producers. Carter earned his doctorate in chemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) and held increasingly important positions with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, DuPont Medical Products, Baxter Healthcare and Boehringer Mannheim before joining SRA.

"Rich is the ideal person to take the Sanford Rose organization to new heights," said outgoing president Snider. "He is one of us, thoroughly understands the search process and has demonstrated his ability to run a highly successful business."

There are no plans currently to relocate either the Akron headquarters or the San Francisco office.

Terms of the stock purchase agreement, including the purchase price, were not disclosed.

In addition to Owner of the Year, Rich Carter's office was named Office of the Year for 2001. Despite the economic downturn in 2001, his office's revenues were up almost 60% over the prior year's.

Prior to opening the office in 1999, Mr. Carter had 20 years of marketing, sales and senior management experience. His industry background includes biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics and medical devices. Mr. Carter holds a Doctorate in Chemistry from Georgia Institute of Technology.
